Sergio insists he could quit Depor at the end of the season if he is not playing regularly.Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Sergio has warned he could quit the club at the end of the season if he continues to be overlooked by boss Joaquin Caparros.
The 29-year-old has been a fixture in the first-team at Depor in recent seasons, but does not appear to be guaranteed a starting spot under Caparros.
He is becoming increasingly frustrated and has been linked with a move away from the club.
One of his suitors is understood to be Espanyol, the club from which he joined Depor in the summer of 2001.
The player, who is under contract at The Riazor until 2009, insists he will continue to give his all for Depor, but will have no qualms about leaving in the summer if his predicament has not changed.
"I will not evaluate what has happened this year until the end of the season," he declared.
"Right now I have to try and help the team in any way I can and as much as the coach will let me.
"Then at the end of the season I will weigh up what to do, talk about what needs to be talked about and take the decision that needs to be taken.
"If the situation does not change then I will not discard leaving in June because I need to be playing.
"For me this is a new situation, but you have to accept it and try to learn from it."
