Craioveanu wants to leave in December when the winter transfer window opens as he finds himself stuck behind Martin Palermo as first choice striker and it is unlikely the talismanic Argentinian will be dislodged any time soon.
The Romanian has started just once in the league and been a substitute twice so far this season, leading to his desire to leave.
Having starred at El Madrigal for three seasons, the former Real Sociedad star is not content with 109 minutes of action so far this campaign.
Craioveanu said: "I can't put up with this situation. I am very hurt because I think there is no logical explanation to play such little time. I am training hard and I am set to play.
"If things keep going this way I will have to look for an exit because it's not good for me to go so many games without playing.
"It would be hard for me to leave Villarreal because I told Fernando Roig that I would end my career here, but everybody must understand that I can't go on with this ordeal. From having been been a key player last season to hardly ever playing now, and I feel as capable as anyone to play for this team."
The 33 year-old striker is confident that he can still play in the Spanish top flight, saying: "I go through nights without sleeping and I have only this topic in my mind.
"Being a Villarreal player I turned down the opportunity to play in the European Cup to help my team to achieve their second promotion to La Liga Primera. I am not young but I think I have three years of good football left."
