The Argentine ace has been told he does not figure in Benito Floro's plans for next season and has had his number nine shirt taken off him, with Brazilian star Sonny Anderson taking his jersey.
Palermo has failed to impress at Villarreal since arriving from Boca Juniors over two years ago and they are trying to ship him out.
The colourful striker insists he bears no grudges with anyone at Villarreal and that he will bounce back.
"I am not angry with anyone at Villarreal and there is not a bad relationship between us," Palermo told Marca.
"If I have to keep my head down and spend some time on the bench, then that's what I'll do because my aim is to remain in Spain."
