Juan Pablo Sorin and Luciano Figueroa have both spoken of their contentment.Villarreal duo Juan Pablo Sorin and Luciano Figueroa have both spoken of their contentment following a midweek UEFA Champions League draw against Manchester United.
The Spanish outfit made their bow in Europe's premier club competition on Wednesday evening, acquitting themselves well in a 0-0 stalemate.
Talented Argentina international Sorin believes the result was more than satisfactory, considering United's status as being one of the strongest sides in Europe.
"I think that we showed a good attitude in our first experience in the Champions League,'' said Sorin.
''Besides that, we drew 0-0 and we don't have to forget that we played against Manchester United.
''They are one of the most important teams in the world and have a lot of experience in these kind of competitions."
Former Birmingham striker Figueroa, who has rejuvenated his career following a miserable and short spell in the Midlands, has echoed the words of his club and international team-mate.
"It's not easy to debut in a competition like the Champions League and against a team like Manchester United,'' he concluded.
''But I think that we can say that our debut has been very positive and that we got a good result.
"Besides that we couldn't win, we are satisfied because it was a positive debut.''
