The 35-year-old, who has already made over 440 appearances in the league, began professional football with the club back in 1986, and also had an eight-year spell with Barcelona during his illustrious career.
Nadal, who is rumoured to be on president Mateo Alemany's shortlist to replace manager Sergio Kresic, is once again likely to play a pivotal role at the heart of the defence, after the club revealed players need to be sold to balance the books.
Kresic was sacked by the club earlier this week, following a disappointing season in La Liga after qualifying the Champions League prior to this campaign.
The former Barca star will also be participating in this year's World Cup in Korea and Japan, after being a surprise call-up for Jose Camacho's 23-man squad for the trip.
The Estadio Son Moix outfit recently announced that they are £6 million in the red this season and will need to offload some of their star players to generate much-needed income.
