Juan Arango is out of danger following his horrifying facial injury.Juan Arango is out of danger and will be moved from intensive care to a private room following his horrifying facial injury during Mallorca's defeat against Sevilla.
Doctors at the Policlinica Miramar de Palma confirmed that the Venezuelan is on the mend after fracturing his cheekbone in a collision with Javi Navarro.
"He is conscious and breathing well and out of serious danger," said Doctor Fernando Barturen.
"The player was disorientated and did know where he was or what had happened. But he has recovered full consciousness, without any sign of major problems.
"Surgery was discarded after discovering the broken cheekbone. It will be necessary to re-evaluate the injury in the next few days, but right now he is conscious, stable and is breathing by himself.
"He is set to leave intensive care and be moved to another room and will probably remain in the clinic for two or three more days.
"Arango does not remember anything, but he knows where he is now and what happened to him. We told him what happened and he has also now seen it on television."
The medics claimed that his life could have been in danger if he had not been moved so quickly to be sedated after the incident, allowing doctors to help his breathing.
