Darko Kovacevic has rubbished claims he has agreed a move to Besiktas.Real Sociedad striker Darko Kovacevic has rubbished reports claiming he has agreed a move to Besiktas.
The Turkish press reported earlier in the week that the Serbo-Montenegrin had already signed a contract with the Istanbul giants.
However, Kovacevic, 32, insists he has had no contact with the Turkish outfit and has no plans to leave Spain.
"They are rumours. I have a contract at Real until 2007 and what I have in my mind is to end my career wearing Real's shirt," he explained.
"I have said many times that I am at home here and it's the truth.
"I want to retire here."
Kovacevic, who had a spell at Sheffield Wednesday earlier in his career, rejoined Sociedad from Juventus in 2001.
In his second stint at the club he has managed 44 goals in 121 league appearances.
It is believed that Besiktas have switched their attentions to Kovacevic's international team-mate Savo Milosevic as they look to bring in a top striker.
Meanwhile, Sociedad have confirmed that director of sport Roberto Olabe has been relieved of his duties by new president Miguel Fuentes.
Olabe had been in the position since the summer of 2002 and looks likely to be succeeded by either Roberto Lopez Ufarte or Barcelona legend Jose Maria Bakero.
