Aloisi joins Alaves

John Aloisi has joined Alaves on a free transfer from Osasuna.John Aloisi has ended the uncertainty surrounding his future by signing for Primera Liga new boys Alaves.
The Australia international had been expecting to leave Osasuna upon the expiration of his contract at the end of June and had agreed to join Panathinaikos.
But Panathinaikos backed out of the deal at the 11th hour after claiming they had concerns regarding a knee injury.
Aloisi shrugged off the problems concerning his fitness to return to Osasuna, where he was discussing a contract extension.
The striker, who was also interesting Portsmouth and Sunderland, has now opted to sever his ties with Osasuna again by signing for Alaves.
He has inked a two-year contract with the promoted side and is looking forward to his fresh start with Alaves.
Aloisi said: "Alaves is a new club in the Primera Liga but with a big history in Spain.
"For me it is an excellent place to search for goals."
