After a disappointing Serie A campaign, Totti's side's misery was compounded by Coppa Italia defeat to Champions League winners Milan for their final game of the campaign.
"I wish we could sign three or four new players," said the Italian forward. "I have faith in president in Sensi and two will surely arrive.
"I think we need a big arrival in every department to complete our already good group.
"In my opinion Edgar Davids is the main objective. I know he could leave Juve. And I also know that the feeling between Roma and Juve isn't good. But Sensi must try.
"As Cafu's replacement, a winger, I've seen Joaquin. He could be the right man.
"We need people able to make a difference and not just to increase the number of players.
"Defenders? Roma are trying to buy Chievo's Nicola Legrottaglie, but there is still Juve who are interested."
On his own future with the club Totti added: "I'd leave to just make sure the club didn't go bankrupt, after seeing what happened to Lazio last season.
"But that is only if the club had serious economic problems."
Totti also sung the praises of Milan and Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi, possibly paving the way for a swoop by the recently crowned Champions League winners.
"I'm happy Mr Berlusconi talks about me, it's a rewarding thing," he added. "He could be my president, I could go to Milan at the age of 14, but in the future he could be really my president."
Roma's sporting director Franco Baldini has hit back at Totti's comments saying: "Berlusconi is already the institutional president of Totti and anyone who works or talks, or is around Roma has to make that it will stay just in this role".
