Real Betis midfielder Miguel Angel has suffered knee ligament damage.
Real Betis midfielder Miguel Angel suffered knee ligament damage in the 4-0 defeat to Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League.
Angel travelled back from London in some pain with the early predictions underlining that he will require surgery to repair the problem.
Examinations will be made by club doctors on the right knee but it looks as though they will confirm he will be out of action for around five or six months.
"I have been playing on this level and this news is a great blow to me," complained Angel.
Oscar Lopez is also due to miss Sunday's fixture in La Liga against Malaga after suffering a muscular injury at Stamford Bridge.
