A round up of all the action from Sunday's La Liga games.

The Basque derby failed to produce any goals for the first time since 1999 as Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao played out a 0-0 draw in La Liga on Sunday.

The result means David Moyes' Sociedad are three points above the relegation zone, and two above their 17th-placed rivals Athletic, after their opening six fixtures of the season.

Athletic were unfortunate not to be awarded a penalty in the 40th minute when Asier Illarramendi, who re-joined Sociedad from Real Madrid in the summer, blocked a goalbound shot with his arms.

But, in a game of few chances, Sociedad went close to grabbing a late winner, only for Gorka Iraizoz to make an impressive triple save from a goalmouth scramble.

Elsewhere, Deportivo La Coruna beat Espanyol 3-0 to move up to sixth in the table.

An early own goal by Alvaro Gonzalez put the hosts on their way and Lucas Perez scored either side of half-time to wrap up a second straight win for Victor Sanchez del Amo's side.

Things went from bad to worse for Espanyol late in the game as Pape Diop was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Real Betis produced a second-half turnaround to win 2-1 at Sporting Gijon and pick up their first away victory of the season.

Carlos Castro put the hosts ahead in the 16th minute but Joaquin headed Betis level two minutes after the break and then Ruben Castro completed the turnaround with an impressive strike from outside the area.

Getafe secured a 3-0 home victory over Levante to leave the visitors languishing in the bottom three.

Two goals from the impressive Alvaro Vazquez and a third from Emiliano Buendia, all in the game's final 10 minutes, secured victory when a goalless draw had looked likely.
