Mustapha Riga has underlined his commitment to Levante amid interest from AZ Alkmaar.
Levante midfielder Mustapha Riga has underlined his commitment to the club, amid reports AZ Alkmaar have had a bid turned down for the player.
The Dutch outfit are believed to have offered é¼2 million (£1.4 million) for Riga but newly-promoted Levante are keen to hang on to one of their key players.
The Ghanaian scored 11 goals last season during Levante's promotion from the Segunda division and both club and player are keen to extend their association for another year at least.
"I want to be a success in Spain and my desire is to play in the Primera Liga with Levante," said Riga.
"The club knows that I would only want to leave for a great option and Holland does not appeal to me."
While Levante may have rebuffed a bid for Riga, Jose Ramon Lopez Caro's side are still keen on doing business with AZ.
The Spaniards are weighing up offers for Wigan target Denny Landzaat and former Rangers striker Shota Arveladze as they seek to build a squad capable of making its mark in La Liga.
