Nihat Kahveci admits his move to CSKA is now highly unlikely to go through.Real Sociedad's Nihat Kahveci has admitted his move to CSKA is now highly unlikely to go through.
The Turkish international striker looked to have sealed a é¼10 million switch to the Russian outfit at the start of the month, but the deal has still to go through and now looks doomed to failure.
Nihat, who is still recovering from a cruciate knee ligament injury, has revealed he does not now expect to be heading to the Russian capital - but is not disappointed.
Indeed, the 25-year-old insists he will happily return to pre-season with Sociedad and had never been seeking a move.
"I am very calm," he told Marca.
"Everybody knows I would have no problem in returning to San Sebastian on July 4 if ultimately, as I believe will happen, CSKA do not sign me as it looks very unlikely now.
"I will return to Zubieta (Sociedad's training ground) with the same happiness to be at Real, and with the same excitement at having recovered from my injury, as before."
Sociedad were looking to offload the forward to ease their crippling financial problems, but Miguel Santos - who looks likely to win the forthcoming Sociedad presidential elections - has hinted he will look to keep Nihat.
