Gareth Bale

Our friends at Football Whispers round up the latest European transfer news as Paris Saint-Germain set their sights on Gareth Bale.

FRANCE

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to move for Real Madrid's Gareth Bale. The Wales international is widely seen as the man the Spanish club will let go in order to facilitate a move for Monaco's Kylian Mbappe. (Le Parisien)

Monaco have offered Liverpool transfer target Kylian Mbappe a huge wage increase in an effort to ensure the 18-year-old sensation stays. The new deal would see his earnings go up by 900 per cent and put him on a par with striker partner Radamel Falcao. (Journal du Dimanche)

Arsenal transfer target Alexandre Lacazette has already been subject to a €65m (£57.1m) bid by Atletico Madrid. Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas said: "The price for a player who scores 25 to 30 goals a year, sometimes more than 30, should be that." (L'Equipe)

SPAIN

Chelsea's Diego Costa would be willing to make the sacrifice of not playing until January in order to seal a move back to Atletico Madrid. The Spanish side are not allowed to register new players this summer, meaning any signing will have to wait to play, but Costa is nonetheless determined to return to Diego Simeone's team. Barcelona are set to make their first formal bid for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti. The Catalan giants have been persistently linked to the Italian in recent weeks, though an initial offer of €80m (£70.2m) will be required to prove their seriousness in negotiations with the French club. Sevilla have reportedly bid €13m (£11.4m) for Sampdoria striker Luis Muriel. The Colombian, who was formerly a West Ham United target, scored 13 goals in Serie A last season. (Estadio Deportivo)

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is hopeful that his club's positive relationship with Real Madrid will allow them to sign Mariano. The striker has received good reports from manager Zinedine Zidane and fellow attacker Karim Benzema, but a transfer fee of €10m (£8.8m) could secure his signature. (Marca)

GERMANY

While German champions Bayern Munich are fully aware of Alexis Sanchez's array of qualities and are interested in signing the player, a move for the Arsenal forward appears increasingly unlikely due to the extravagant financial package such a deal would involve. (Kicker)

ITALY

Premier League champions Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Brazilian left wing-back Alex Sandro. Having agreed personal terms with the player, they must now find a way to convince Juventus to let him go. (Calciomercato)

Juventus may turn their attentions to Paris Saint-Germain's Blaise Matuidi in a bid to bolster their midfield for next term. The French international has just one year left on his current contract and an extension is not yet on the table, meaning he could be a less expensive alternative to Sevilla's Steven N'Zonzi. (Tuttosport)

Manchester United have submitted a contract offer of just over £6.5m per year to Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan. The Belgian was formerly a Chelsea target, but appears keen to remain in the Italian capital regardless of the interested parties coveting him. (Il Tempo)

Roma will soon confirm the arrival of midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini from Sassuolo, according to general manager Mauro Baldissoni. The Italy U21 international came through Roma's academy and could return shortly. (Corriere dello Sport)
