Udinese director Pietro Leonardi insists he has not been approached by Roma regarding star striker Fabio Quagliarella.
Roma are thought to be keen to sign the Italy international, who has also been linked with Manchester United, at the end of the season.
Speculation suggests the 25-year-old has been identified as a long-term replacement for Francesco Totti, who has struggled with injuries.
However, Leonardi is adamant he has not been contacted by Roma and that he is not necessarily looking to cash-in on highly-rated Quagliarella.
"First of all we don't even know if Quagliarella will be up for sale this summer," Leonardi told Forzaroma.info.
"What will happen from now until June will be fundamental so at this stage no one can say anything.
"No one from Roma has contacted me and neither has (Roma sporting director) Daniele Prade."
Leonardi has also stated that Udinese will not be conducting any business in the January transfer window.
"Sometimes you read lots of things in newspapers which aren't actually true," he added.
"All I can say is that Udinese won't be selling or buying any players in January."
