Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has signed a new five-year contract to stay at the club until 2014. The 23-year-old has been rewarded for forcing his way into Claudio Ranieri's side and making 14 appearances, 12 of them starts, in Serie A this season. The Italian has also featured in the UEFA Champions League with four outings, helping the Turin club top their group. The midfielder claimed his first goal for the club on Saturday as Juve beat Fiorentina 1-0 in the league to further enhance his credentials. "I am very happy with the agreement we've reached," Marchisio told the club's official website. "With this signing I can continue my career at a glorious and prestigious club that I consider a family. "It has been nearly 14 years that I've worn the white and black shirt and I hope to continue winning like I was used to in the juniors." Marchisio is not the only youngster at the club to be given the chance to establish themselves in the first team under Ranieri. Cristian Molinaro, Paolo De Ceglie and Sebastien Giovinco have all enjoyed lengthy runs in the senior team.
