Roma head coach Claudio Ranieri has refused to criticise Francesco Totti in the wake of their 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich.
The Giallorossi suffered a 2-0 defeat to the Bundesliga giants in Wednesday's UEFA Champions League meeting at the Allianz Arena.
Roma's long-serving captain Totti came under fire for his display in the defeat, although Ranieri has refused to hit out.
Rather than criticise Totti's display he fully expects the 33-year-old to return to form in the club's next outing against Bologna.
"I know nothing. I've read nothing. I don't want to comment," said the former Chelsea manager.
"The beautiful thing of this sport is that within three days, it restarts.
"I've passed many times similar moments in my career, but we have always found the form to bounce back."
Totti was unhappy with Roma's style of play on Wednesday, believing they were too negative in their approach in Germany.
"We haven't played football. We have never shot towards goal. We only thought about defending," he said.
"Playing this way it's difficult to win games. Until now nothing's been positive. I wish the situation changes soon, starting against Bologna.
"We lost against a big side. Now we must absolutely improve to come back being protagonists in the Italian league and in Champions League too."
