Kevin-Prince Boateng has earned praise from his manager and team-mates after quickly establishing himself as a fans' favourite at AC Milan.
Boateng left Portsmouth during the summer to join Genoa, before immediately being sent out on loan to the San Siro with a view to a permanent move at the end of the season.
He has been heavily involved during the early part of the campaign and boss Massimiliano Allegri already regards him as a key player.
"He was an important purchase, because he has the aggression and technique that complements our midfield," said Allegri.
Veteran midfielder Clarence Seedorf has also been impressed by what he has seen from his new team-mate.
"Kevin-Prince has adapted fine in Milan. He did very well in the matches in which he played," said the Dutchman.
"He has excellent quality, as do all those who belong to this group. So he will be important too."
The Ghana international's efforts have been appreciated by the supporters as well and he admits it feels special to receive adulation at such a great club.
"When I heard the Milan fans shouting my name it was amazing," the Ghana midfielder told Sky Italia.
"I had never seen a stadium shouting my name like that. I'm as happy as a child to play in this great club.
"And if the fans consider me an idol, that means I'm doing something good.
"When you graduate from a small club like Portsmouth to a great club like Milan, it's fantastic."
