Brescia have revealed that no suitable offers came in for highly-rated striker Andrea Caracciolo.

Brescia never came close to losing striker

Brescia sporting director Gianluca Nani has revealed that no suitable offers came in for highly-rated striker Andrea Caracciolo. Birmingham had been linked with a January swoop for the 29-year-old, while Fiorentina were also thought to be interested. However, no move materialised before Monday's transfer deadline and Nani insists he never came close to leaving. Nani admits it was pleasing to keep hold of such a key player as Brescia continue to battle for Serie A survival. "It wasn't hard to hold on to Caracciolo for the simple fact that no suitable offers arrived," he told Radio Ies. "He is a great player and we are very happy that he remained at Brescia. We have a great attack."
