Fiorentina midfielder joins Internacional

Fiorentina have confirmed the departure of midfielder Mario Bolatti to Brazilian club Internacional. The 25-year-old joined Fiorentina from Porto last January but struggled to establish himself as a regular in the starting XI. Opportunities have continued to be limited this season but it looked as though Bolatti would have to see out the season in Italy after the transfer deadline passed last week. However, clubs in Brazil are still able to do business and Fiorentina have agreed to let him join Internacional on a permanent basis. A statement on Fiorentina's official website read: "ACF Fiorentina announce they have sold, with a definitive move, midfielder Mario Ariel Bolatti to Sport Club Internacional Porto Alegre."

New adventure

Bolatti added on his new club's official website: "At Fiorentina I did not have the chance to play regularly and I have taken the opportunity given to me by Internacional. "This is one of the biggest clubs in South America and is very close to Argentina. I am very satisfied with this new adventure. "From what I've seen Internacional are a very strong team who can bid to win all competitions. I really want to play in the Libertadores Cup and give joy to my new fans. "My objective is to adapt as quickly as possible and become an idol like (Andres) D'Alessandro and (Pablo) Guinazu. "I am a player who plays in front of the defence and likes to control the game and when I get the chance I like to score a few goals too."
