Edy Reja has insisted he is now fully focused on the job of leading Lazio once again, while he was not concerned about reports linking Gianfranco Zola with his post.
Reja's position as Lazio boss has been a major talking point in Italy over the past couple of weeks after he offered to resign on the eve of the Europa League clash with Atletico Madrid .
Club bosses did not want him to leave and Reja ultimately decided to stay following talks with president Claudio Lotito.
Lazio beat capital rivals Roma 2-1 at the weekend to take up third position in Serie A, and Reja is now looking forward to what he hopes will be a successful end to the season.
He is also staying calm about the rumours connecting former West Ham manager Zola with the job of Lazio boss, saying he would be happy for his close friend to take the position one day.
"There have been situations of which we have spoken (himself and Lotito). There has been an exchange of views, but that chapter is closed," Reja told Sky Italia.
"How I coped with the rumours linking Zola to my bench? I haven't had any problems.
"Rumours are going around but I'm calm.
"Gianfranco is a friend of mine, and we spoke. I would have been happy and I will be happy if in the distant future Zola arrives on the Lazio bench."
