Midfielder accepts Cagliari are asking for a lot of money

Radja Nainggolan hopes to take a step forward in his career by securing a move to Juventus, but admits there are other interested clubs and he does not know whether his 'crazy' Cagliari president is demanding too much money. The Belgium international, who could feature against England on Saturday, says his agent has struck a deal with Juventus for a transfer to go through this summer. He feels it is the right time to leave Cagliari for a bigger club, having impressed with his performances in Serie A over the past couple of years. The midfielder accepts that nothing can be taken for granted, however, as Cagliari owner Massimo Cellino has delivered conflicting stories about whether he is ready to sell. Nainggolan is happy to wait and see what will happen but would like to leave during the transfer window and would be prepared to join Zenit St Petersburg in Russia if he is unable to link up with an Italian rival. "There is an agreement with Juventus and last Monday my agent showed me the signed contract with them," he told Derniere Heure.

Right time

"Everything is ready, but there are two things that could prevent the transfer: the price and the interest of other clubs such as Inter, AC Milan or Napoli. "Zenit St Petersburg? Yes, but I would sign with them only at the end of August, if the negotiations with Italian clubs should not go well. "Money is not everything, I'm 24 and this is the time to take a step forward in my career. "Cellino is considered the craziest Italian president. One day he says I can go away and the day after he says that I should stay. "He asks too much money for me, €15million (£12m)."
