The 20-year-old has become hot property on the back of a number of assured displays in Serie A.
Clubs from England have been credited with holding an interest in the Spain U21 international, who has been part of the first-team set-up at Samp for over two years now.
He is tied to a long-term contract with his current employers, and his representative claims fresh terms could be agreed.
A new deal is likely to be discussed when future talks are held next week, along with Sampdoria's summer plans for a man expected to generate plenty of transfer speculation.
Obiang's agent Jose Miguel Gonzalez told tuttomercatoweb.com: "The renewal of the contract is a possibility.
"I will come to see the Sampdoria-Parma match on 3rd March and then I'll meet the club's officials.
"We'll talk about Obiang's future, which will be decided together with Sampdoria.
"There are a lot of important clubs interested, but Obiang has a contract with Sampdoria until June 2016 so there is no reason to think about the market at this stage of the season."
