Inter fail to close gap

Saturday had seen Milan defeat Juve to give Inter a chance at going level on points with the Turin side - but the Nerazzurri failed to capitalise.
Goals from Vincenzo Iaquinta and Marek Jankulovski put Udinese in the driving seat - and the Bianconeri clung on after Ivan Cordoba grabbed one back for Inter.
Lazio look to be out of the title race following a 2-1 defeat to Parma in Serie A, whilst Roma's European exit appeared to spur on the side in a 3-1 victory over strugglers Piacenza.

Empoli were held to a goal-less draw by Brescia, whilst bottom side Torino kept fighting with a 2-1 victory over Perugia.
