Lazio remain confident that Roberto Mancini will remain as coach of the club until the end of next season.
The Italian coach was recently linked with the vacancy at Tottenham amid rumours he had become tired with the financial troubles affecting the Serie A outfit.
However, Lazio are desperate to keep hold of Mancini and see him as an integral part of the future of the team.
"He's a fundamental pawn in our rebuilding plans," stated chief officer Giuseppe Masoni to Corriere dello Sport.
"He is one of the best coaches in Europe and is a pivotal part of Lazio."
Masoni believes Lazio will sort out their financial plight and that they are not forced to sell off their big name stars during the January transfer window.
"I'm quite optimistic over the club's future because we have prepared an excellent plan of recovery," explained Masoni.
"There is no risk that we will have to sell off our most important players in January."
He also stated that the club have not authorised the transfer of Dejan Stankovic.
"The only thing certain about Dejan Stankovic is that he has not signed a new contract with Lazio," he explained.
Both Internazionale and Juventus are leading the chase for the midfielder but Masoni dismissed stories that the player had already signed a contractual agreement with both clubs.
Masoni added: "We have not authorised our players opening negotiations with any other clubs and no club has spoken to us about any of our squad."
