Dejan Stankovic believes this weekend's derby with Milan could shape Inter's season.Internazionale midfielder Dejan Stankovic believes this weekend's derby with Milan could be his club's last chance to gain ground on the Serie A leaders.
Milan and Juventus currently look in pole position to land the title, but Stankovic is keen to gatecrash the party.
The talented former Lazio midfielder accepts Milan's strength, as Manchester United can testify, but is nevertheless confident of his own club's quality.
''It's an important match for both sides,'' said Stankovic.
''We can improve our position and hope to get closer to Milan, whilst they could lose their rhythm in the case of a loss.
''Milan are a really balanced team and they have one of the strongest defences in Europe.
''But, we are doing good things on a tactical level and I hope on Sunday that we will concentrate for the whole match.
''In my life, I have played three derbies, in Belgrade, Rome and Milan.
''Milan's one is a spectacle. I've never won a derby in Italy. Let's hope Sunday might be the right time.''
