Adriano wants to play in the Coppa Italia final, rather than the Confederations Cup.Adriano wants to play in the Coppa Italia final, rather than represent Brazil at the Confederations Cup.
The Internazionale striker is set for a clash of interests in June, with his club's bid for silverware coming just before the Confederations Cup in Germany.
Inter play Roma in a two-legged final, with the first meeting on June 12 and the return at Giuseppe Meazza on June 15.
But Brazil kick off their Confederations Cup challenge on June 16 against European champions Greece and Adriano will be unable to compete in both competitions.
He admits it is a dilemma but is hoping Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira will allow him to play for Inter in the cup final.
"I hope that the Brazilian Football Federation find a way so that I don't miss any matches of the Italian Cup final with Inter," said Adriano.
"The Italian Cup final will be played at the same time that the Confederations Cup will be played in Germany and I have been called into the national team.
"But if I can choose I would prefer to play in the Italian Cup final with Inter.
"The Italian Cup is the only title that Inter could win this year and I would like to be there to help my team reach that."
Prior to the Confederations Cup, Brazil have two World Cup qualifiers earlier in June against Paraguay and Argentina.
Parreira has named his squad for the qualifiers and the Confederations Cup, selecting the bulk of his star players for both competitions.
Squad: Dida, Marcos; Roberto Carlos, Cafu, Gilberto, Belletti, Juan, Roque Junior, Lucio, Luisao; Emerson, Juninho Pernambucano, Ze Roberto, Gilberto Silva, Renato, Kaka, Ricardinho, Ronaldinho; Adriano, Ronaldo, Robinho, Ricardo Oliveira.
The above is the squad for the World Cup qualifiers, while for the Confederations Cup, Roberto Carlos, Cafu and Ricardinho have been omitted from the party, with Gomes, Leo and Alex coming into the set-up.
