Genoa are facing up to the prospect of a player exodus following their demotion to Italian Serie C.
Diego Milito is poised to be the first star name to leave the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, with the Argentinian interesting Serie A giants Juventus and Internazionale.
Milito is currently in talks with Genoa president Enrico Preziosi and is expected to announce his departure from the Rossoblu within the next few days.
Fernando Hidalgo, the player's agent, confirmed to reporters: "We are talking with president Preziosi.
"Diego wants to stay in Italy, he has a number of offers but I can't reveal the names of those who are chasing him.
"If we are unable to agree a deal with an Italian club then Diego will go abroad but I think everything will be resolved soon."
Juventus appear to be in pole position to land the 26-year-old after reports that the two clubs have already concurred on a one-year loan agreement with a view to a permanent transfer.
