Internazionale are closing on Cesar and Simone Inzaghi from Lazio.Reports emanating from the Italian press are strongly linking Internazionale with a double raid on Lazio.
It has been reported that Inter boss Roberto Mancini is planning to return to his former employers to be reunited with Aparecido Cesar and Simone Inzaghi.
The Nerazzurri are keen to bolster their ranks in the winter transfer window and it would appear that the names of Cesar and Inzaghi top their wish-list.
It is believed that Cesar will be offered a deal until 2008, while Simone would move to the San Siro initially on a six-month loan basis.
In order to smooth over the deal, Inter are ready to offer Lazio joint-ownership of two or three of their most promising young players.
Meanwhile, Mancini has praised the efforts of his side after a workmanlike 3-0 victory over Palermo, with Adriano singled out for special praise.
''We knew it would be very hard,'' said Mancini. ''We suffered especially in the first ten minutes of the second half but we have been able to earn the win.
''Adriano in the second half made really good things. He lost a little condition but he ended the match growing.
''The defence too made good things and we have good players.''
