Inter follow Paraguayan

Internazionale are trailing Reggina's Paraguay midfielder Carlos Paredes.

Internazionale are trailing Reggina midfielder Carlos Paredes and could be plotting a summer bid.

The Paraguay international will be a free agent during the close season and recently admitted that he wants to move on to a new club to make a step up in his career.

The Nerazzurri are reportedly eyeing a replacement for Cristiano Zanetti, with the Italy international believed to be bound for Juventus.

Paredes will look be in the shop window during the World Cup finals, although he may have already got fixed up with new employers by then.

He was linked to Inter and Manchester United in January but Reggina president Lillo Foti decided to keep him on until the end of the campaign, even though it means the 29-year-old leaving for free under the Bosman Ruling.

The South American joined Reggina from Porto in 2000.
