Alvaro Recoba would like to manage Inter after he has hung up his boots.
Internazionale midfielder Alvaro Recoba has revealed he hopes to manage the Serie A giants after he has hung up his boots.
The Uruguayan has been on the books at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza since moving to the club from Nacional in 1997.
Recoba has become a household name with Inter fans during his nine years at the club and admits he would be keen to manage the Italian outfit at some point in the future.
"I arrived at Inter nine years ago when I was 21 years old. I feel this club is my home," Recoba said.
"I want to end my career at Inter and then my wish is to have the chance to be manager of the club."
The 30-year-old had been linked with a move away from Inter during the summer, before signing a new contract at the club last week.
"In May I had a meeting with (Inter supremo) Massimo Moratti and in two minutes we had reached an agreement. There was no need to talk about money and all that," he added.
"Both of us had the wish to continue together.
"However, I must confess I had concerns that he didn't want me to continue but we laughed a lot and he told me he had imagined I was going to say I wanted to continue my career with another team."
