Luis Figo insists he will not be performing a U-turn on his decision to quit Internazionale.
The Italian champions are desperate for Figo to remain with them for another 12 months, but he agreed a deal with Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad in January - and he intends to stand by that agreement.
Inter chief Massimo Moratti has admitted he is trying to persuade Figo to stay - but the 34-year-old looks set to leave Giuseppe Meazza, as planned, this summer.
"Supporters ask Moratti to convince me to stay at Inter and I'd stay for many years in a side like Inter in which I felt in a really good way, because the affection I have here makes me happy," told Inter's website.
"I'd have liked to have arrived before, when I was at the top of my career, but in football you must also understand when the moment to leave arrives."
