Serie A club do not expect goalkeeper to leave

Udinese have dismissed reports linking Samir Handanovic with a move away from the club this summer. The Slovenian has enhanced his reputation with a string of assured displays over the past few seasons and is now regarded as one of the finest goalkeepers in the business. He has reportedly attracted the attention of several rival clubs in Italy as well as some other European teams. Arsenal, Roma and Atletico Madrid are among those to have been credited with an interest but Udinese sporting director Fabrizio Larini does not expect him to go anywhere. "These stories are just rumours," Larini told calciomercato.it. "As it stands, Samir is our goalkeeper right now and he will probably still be ours during the next campaign too."
