The Italian international has been one of several shining lights for The Flying Donkeys for the past two seasons since their promotion to Serie A.
Legrottaglie has established himself in the Azzurri squad during the past campaign and is a target for Roma.
The 26-year-old has previously admitted it would be a boyhood dream to join Milan, but the Champions League winners are not in the market for a centre half.
The stopper claims four clubs are chasing his services and feels he merits a transfer to one of the giants of Italian football and also conceded it could be time for Chievo coach Luigi Del Neri to be rewarded for his sterling work.
"I think that, after two positive seasons, I deserve the chance to play in a big team," said Legrottaglie.
"Coach Luigi Del Neri deserves it too. I'm quite disappointed for him although I know he feels good in the city of Verona.
"Where will I go? I feel a big admiration for Cannavaro and Nesta but also for Stam and Samuel.
"But you have to believe me, nothing is decided yet
"I know four big clubs are looking for me, which is a good thing for me because I've the hunger to win.
"We'll choose with Chievo the best solution, considering there will be exchanges."
