Juventus owner Umberto Agnelli believes Edgar Davids has already agreed to join Roma next season.
The tenacious Dutch midfielder's contract is due to expire at the end of the campaign and the signs are that he will look for a new challenge.
Roma have been long term admirers of the midfielder, with owner Franco Sensi saying he wants the player in the Eternal City, and Agnelli feels it is already a done deal.
"In my opinion he has already agreed to join Roma," said Agnelli. "More so he has already signed."
Davids is free to negotiate his future in January, meaning talk of a deal being signed is probably premature, but Agnelli's apparent admission of defeat will be a boost to Roma.
