The Viola are assembling a squad for their return to the top-flight, and have managed to sign Uruguay international Guigou and goalkeeper Lupatelli.
However, it appears that one summer target that will not be arriving at the club is Internazionale striker Mohammed Kallon.
The pacey forward had been linked with a move to Artemio Franchi, but club director Fabrizio Lucchesi confirmed that they had now given up the chase.
"The Kallon signing is something we gave up on a few days ago," said Lucchesi.
Meanwhile, veteran defender Angelo Di Livio is keen to play on, although the club are pressuring the former Italy international to hang up his boots and take up a new role as an official.
Di Livio remained loyal to the club despite the enforced relegation for financial problems and climb back up through the league system.
"I feel that I can still be a Fiorentina player," said Di Livio. "I want to be considered as a player.
"As for the future as a club official - we are yet to discuss it."
