Udinese's Mauri echoed Parisi's sentiment by stating his call-up is a special moment for him.
"I'm emotional. Each player dreams of wearing the Azzurri jersey, but I must confess I didn't expect to achieve this dream in such a short space of time," said Mauri.
Meanwhile, Roma's Montella, who is joint top scorer in Serie A with nine goals, revealed landing an Italy call-up has helped put his difficult period to one side.
The Giallorossi have struggled in the league to date after securing just three victories in their opening 12 games of the new season.
"I'm really happy for Lippi's call," explained Montella. "It's a boost and confidence injection. This was a little personal aim of mine."
