Chivu has endured a frustrating season, with a broken foot keeping him out of action for the bulk of the campaign.
But his absence has not stopped the rumours concerning his future, with Milan having been linked with a bid for the Romania international.
The 24-year-old, who moved to Stadio Olimpico from Ajax in 2003, admits his priority is to return for Roma, rather than chase a deal elsewhere.
"I don't read a lot of papers and I know nothing," Chivu told Corriere dello Sport, regarding the link to Milan.
"If there are important teams interested in me, this can flatter me.
"But I'm at Roma and I see my future here. I'm happy here and I don't see why I would have to be attracted by other teams.
"What is worrying me is my recovery. I want to come back playing to help my team."
Chivu's absence has been sorely felt by a Roma side that has already got through three coaches since Fabio Capello's defection to Juventus.
The centre half admits this has affected the team's campaign but he remains confident Roma can qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League, after crashing out of this term's competition in midweek.
He added: "Roma are lacking in continuity and they have had three different coaches.
"There have been a lot of injuries, not only mine.
"Anyway I think that a Champions League place is within our possibilities. We are optimistic. There are only a few points dividing us from fourth place."
