Roma have successfully appealed against their transfer embargo.
Roma have breathed a sigh of relief following the Court of Arbitration for Sport's decision to accede to their appeal and suspend the transfer embargo originally imposed by FIFA.
At a Lausanne meeting the Court of Arbitration agreed to Roma's request to be able to transfer players, while they await the outcome of the Philippe Mexes case.
This latest ruling will allow the Giallorossi to officially complete the free transfer signings of Shabani Nonda, Samuel Kuffour and Rodrigo Taddei.
Having been given the go-ahead to bring players into the Stadio Olimpico, the news may be tempered, somewhat, by the possible exit of star striker Antonio Cassano.
Cassano has been coveted by some of Europe's most illustrious clubs, with Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid and most recently Chelsea making their interest known.
