Antonio Cassano could be on his way to Juventus according to reports in Italy.Antonio Cassano and Roma's supporters continue to share an uncomfortable relationship as the former stalls over a new contract offer.
The diminutive striker's current deal expires in 2006 and in a situation that somewhat mirrors Rio Ferdinand's at Manchester United - before he signed - Cassano is refusing to put pen-to-paper.
Roma have offered Cassano a five-year deal that would net the player é¼16 million but, as yet, the fiery forward is refusing to budge on his demands for a é¼20 million contract.
The capital club's supporters have not been slow to voice their frustrations and whistled their former idol at an open day at the Stadio Olimpico.
With Roma reluctant to risk losing the player at the close of next year, talk of a switch to Juventus is again resurfacing.
The Old Lady are known to be firm admirers of Cassano and despite a lack of finances, it has been suggested that a deal could be struck before the transfer deadline.
It is believed that Juventus would be willing to use Adrian Mutu, Fabrizio Miccoli or Giorgio Chiellini as makeweights in any deal.
