Roma's players faced angry supporters at the Giallorossi's training ground.
Roma faced the wrath of supporters at the Giallorossi's Trigora training ground on Tuesday.
The 100-strong group of dissenters directed their anger specifically at players Simone Perrotta, Daniele De Rossi and Philippe Mexes, who they hold responsible for the club's poor form.
However coach Luciano Spalletti, who oversaw the 1-0 loss to Empoli on Sunday, has taken the blame for the club's current malaise squarely on his own shoulders.
"You should not complain about them, but me," he said.
Roma's desire to arrest their recent slump has not been helped by the contractual wrangling concerning striker Antonio Cassano.
The Italian international has also been a target for the supporters' vitriol but, despite rejecting lucrative terms, Cassano insists he would like to remain at the Stadio Olimpico.
Cassano said: "You should not believe the papers. I don't want to leave."
