Bruno Conti has moved to clear up speculation concerning a number of Roma players.
The former Giallorossi coach, now players' chief at the Stadio Olimpico, says that he will make a personal intervention in an effort to resolve the ongoing saga of Antonio Cassano's contract holdout.
"Soon we will find a solution to this one," he declared.
"It is a problem that I will tackle personally, I will try to find answers from him and then we will see if we can reach a meeting point.
"I cannot say any more. But I will promise that this club will do everything in order to find a solution."
He also moved to dismiss speculation linking Alessandro Mancini and Cristian Chivu with moves away from the Eternal City.
Mancini had been tipped for a switch to Juventus or Internazionale after growing unhappy with Roma fans, but Conti says there is no way he is leaving.
The Stadio Delle Alpi had also been touted as a possible destination for defender Chivu, although the Roma legend also confirmed that no such deal was in the offing.
"With Chivu we have cleared everything up and as far as Mancini goes I want to make this clear to all - he will remain here. Those two will not be allowed to leave," Conti concluded.
