Adriano Galliani has rejected talk suggesting that Milan could sign Antonio Cassano.
Adriano Galliani has rejected speculation suggesting that Milan could sign Antonio Cassano.
The Rossoneri chief officer dismissed reports suggesting that Christian Vieri could be leaving the Giuseppe Meazza, with Cassano coming in as his replacement.
"Interest for Cassano? We already have four strikers, having five of them is unthinkable," he said.
"We have Inzaghi, Shevchenko, Gilardino and Vieri who will be our forwards next season too. Vieri will stay absolutely next season."
The former Internazionale striker had recently been linked with a possible move to Spain in January, but that possibility has been rejected by Milan.
Galliani also backed Dario Simic after a good performance in Istanbul against Fenerbahce on Wednesday and said the player will stay with them next season as well.
"He's really good and he will be at Milan next year too", the official concluded.
