Despite his team dropping points to Chievo in a 1-1 draw at Stadio Olimpico, captain Totti is in no doubt as to his side's credentials.
The Giallorossi are third in the league following their draw against The Flying Donkeys, having picked up 13 points from their first seven matches.
"It's a shame because we missed a chance against Chievo, but we still believe because we have a team for the scudetto," said Totti.
Roma face another home match in midweek, when they take on Ascoli, whilst joint leaders Palermo and Internazionale face Messina and Livorno respectively.
