Carlo Ancelotti has denied that he is interested in bringing defender Nicolas Burdisso to Chelsea.

Blues boss says he already has enough defenders

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has denied that he is interested in bringing defender Nicolas Burdisso to the club. The 29-year-old Argentina international has been linked with a switch from Inter Milan to Stamford Bridge, with reports suggesting Ancelotti is keen to bolster his backline. However, the Italian coach claims he already has enough defenders at his disposal and the player's agent has also revealed no approach has been made. Ancelotti told Sky Italia: "Burdisso at Chelsea? It's not true. We have three defenders at the highest level." Meanwhile, Burdisso's agent Fernando Hidalgo told vocegiallorossa.it: "Chelsea's offer for Burdisso? No, I have received no proposal from the management of the London club about Burdisso. "We will do everything to bring back Nicolas to Roma and we will try to reach an agreement until we'll have opportunity and time to do it." Burdisso spent last season on loan with Inter's Serie A rivals Roma and he proved a hit at the Stadio Olimpico.
