He has recently emerged into River's first team and he has already been linked with big money moves to Europe, with Newcastle reportedly ahead of Italian sides Napoli and Roma in the race to sign him.
However, Eduardo Palomar - the lawyer of the player - says the youngster wants to remain with River until he has become a first-team regular.
"We are going to do all what is possible for letting German end his formation at River, and once he has an important part of his career done he will be transferred to a team from abroad," said Palomar.
"There is a total agreement with the officials of River Plate for letting Pezzella play for some time at River until he gets a regular position in the first team.
"He is at his first step of a long ladder. He is happy at this moment and after all the patience he had for being able to play at River, he doesn't have in mind to leave, River is his home."
Palomar confirmed that the player and his father have already turned down offers from abroad.
"German was six months away from being out of contract, his father received many calls in which he was offered money for not renewing his son's contract, but the family owes a lot to River," he added.
