League refuse Lazio signings

The Biancoceleste did manage to raise the cash required to enrol in Serie A, but are still in dire financial straits, with several well publicised debts.
Primarily the club still owe transfer money for Jaap Stam - bought last year from Manchester United - and summer arrival Juan Pablo Sorin.
The Roman club had completed the signing of Verona's Massimo Oddo, who was already training with this new club, and Chievo duo Eriberto and Christian Manfredini.
However the Italian league have refused to ratify the signings until Lazio clear their debts.
Inevitably this has fuelled the stories that top players will be sold off to raise cash quickly - and Alessandro Nesta is the obvious candidate for such a sacrifice.
After touting the Italian star for around £32 million and getting no takes, Lazio president Sergio Cragnotti may be forced to lower his asking price.
Sorin could also be quickly moved on to raise funds, with rumours of a move to Manchester United and Leeds refusing to die down.
