Dejan Stankovic has insisted that his current contract saga is not affecting his performances on the pitch for Lazio.
The Serbia & Montenegro international has failed to sign a new deal with the Stadio Olimpico outfit and looks likely to leave the club in the January transfer window.
Stankovic even faced the whistles of his own crowd on Sunday as the fans questioned his commitment to the cause.
Stankovic has insisted that his contract situation is not affecting his play, and that he is committed to Roberto Mancini's side while he remains in the Eternal City.
"I hear many saying foolish things about my future," said Stankovic.
"I'm a serious person and a professional player. While I will wear the Lazio jersey I'll do everything to help the team win and achieve the aims we defined at the beginning of season.
"I'm probably not in 100 percent condition but no-one can question my commitment to the team.
"The contract situation doesn't condition me. Whistles? I think these things are part of a players' life."
Meanwhile, Stankovic has been forced out of the Serbo-Montenegrin squad to face Wales on Saturday because he has a muscle problem.
