Lazio are within two points of overturning their negative points tally in Serie A following their 4-0 romp in Turin against Torino.
The Biancocelesti began the season with minus 11 points, but their third victory of the season means they are now within touching distance of moving out of the bottom three.
The win was a comfortable one for Lazio, with all four goals coming in the second half at the Stadio Grande Torino.
Tomasso Rocchi put Lazio ahead just after the break before Massimo Oddo added two goals - including a penalty.
The win was wrapped up three minutes from time when Stefano Mauri fired home.
Atalanta missed the chance to move into the top-six after being held to a 1-1 draw by Reggina.
All the goals at The Stadio Azzurri D'Italia came in the opening six minutes, as Reggina came from behind.
Simone Loria struck after just three minutes to put the home side ahead.
However, the Bergamo fans were silenced as Giacomo Tedesco levelled on six minutes.
While Atalanta remain eighth with their point, Reggina are still some way off safety as they are now on minus ten points.
