AC Milan coach Leonardo admits he will be cheering for his good friend Carlo Ancelotti when Chelsea travel to Inter Milan.
The Blues, now managed by Leonardo's predecessor Ancelotti, take on Serie A giants Inter in the UEFA Champions League last-16 first leg tie in Italy on Wednesday.
Leonardo admits his relationship with Ancelotti, who won the competition twice during his time in charge of Milan, ensures he will be rooting for Chelsea when they visit the city.
"I talk very often with Ancelotti and we talk not only about football," said Leonardo. "There's a great relationship with us and so tomorrow (Wednesday) I cheer for Carlo."
However, the Brazilian appears in a win-win situation, as Inter progressing to the quarter-finals would indicate a boost for Italian football.
"It is also true that Champions League is vital for Italian football and so we shall all be happy if Italian teams have been going on," he added.
Leonardo's own side face an uphill struggle to remain in the competition after they suffered a 3-2 defeat in their first leg with Manchester United.
The return leg at Old Trafford is to be played on Wednesday 10th March with the English side in pole position for a place in the next round.
